The instructions could be more detailed but the product is good. The only problem is the person taking the pills. I had it set for an alarm to go off. My mother in law was shaking the unit to shut it off. Then she would call me to tell me all the pills weren't there. They were found later on the floor. She got another lesson on how to TIP the unit to retrieve pills and shut off the alarm.Product Review: automatic pill dispenser

I can't say enough about this little gadget except it has allowed my mom to remain in her own home and not have around the clock care. To make sure Mom gets her meds on time required that someone be in the house with her every four hours. This has allowed her more independence longer. She does need help loading it, but it really isn't too complicated. I would highly recommend this product. this product is awful. good idea horrible manufacturing. I bought this for my father in law and i set it up and it worked for one day. It errored every other day. and for an older person trying to figure it out it was bad. he has memory problems so this was supposed to help us ensure he gets his medication correctly. it is awfulProduct Review: great find

I was a little skeptical at first, because this was cheaper than others I had looked at, but to my amazement I truly did find a great item.
It's compact, not so hard to set up, has a loud enough sound, and it suits my need perfectly.
My mother is 85 and is hard of hearing. She hears it from any room in the house.
The only problem we have encountered is the fact that she takes alot of medicines and on a couple of occasions a pill or two did get stuck at the bottom and they were missed. But, I now fill it a little different putting the larger pills in first and the more important pills in last. No problems since.

Purchased this pill dispensor to help with my elderly father who was taking his pills incorrectly...The timer and fact that you can only take the pills on the designated day is a great design..Easy to use...highly recommend it!
