We purchased this product because our daughter's room faces a busy street, and early morning garbage trucks, buses and motorcycles would wake her up. She has slept wonderfully since we got the sound machine. It is as simple as can be - plug it in and flip the switch. We've had it for about 2 months, and couldn't be happier with it. By the way, we can still easily hear when she wakes up through her monitor, so no worries with that.Product Review: Works great

My wife used to use a large house fan for noise. This is a little higher pitched (faster rpm) than the fan but still sounds pleasant enough and can be quieter or louder than the fan was depending on the setting. I bought this product for my husband who needs the white noise to fall asleep. Prior to this purchase, he had been putting the pedestal fan on for the noise. As I do not care for the fan (especially in winter), I decided to research the white noise machines. This product is fantastic...very simple to use. He has loved it from the first time that it was used. It is easy to adjust the volume of the noise. I love this thing. I purchased it for my 2 year old son who was having trouble taking decent naps & sleeping through the night and it works wonderfully. His bedroom is very close to the living room and any noise would wake him up. With this sound machine he takes good naps and has been good about sleeping at night. We also have an 8 week old baby who seems to sleep a lot better with it as well, so I will be purchasing a second machine.
