I bought this for my daughter who was having a horrible time sleeping while away at college; too many people around making too much noise. Her friend and housemate gave her the heads up on the SleepMate, so I ordered one. Wow! My duaghter is in a much better mood now, because she can actually sleep consistantly. The SleepMate is small and easy to operate. I wish we had gotten one sooner!Product Review: A wonderful investment...do not hesitate to buy this....

I bought my first dual-speed Sleep Mate in 1977 for $30.00 and have used it nearly every night since then. Originally purchased to help with the general all around noise of a late night party person that lived behind me, the Sleep Mate is invaluable. It soothingly 'helps to erase' taps that drip, clocks that tick, barking dogs, snorers in other rooms, neighbors' stereos, even bouncing basketballs at midnight at the playground across the street. The 31 year old original model is still working fine. Only because the botton "sponge" layer has finally dried to a point of starting to crumble into dust did I decide to spring for a new model. It is compact enough that I have even taken it when I have had to travel and stay in a hotel room for a few weeks. Also have noticed that the local Red Cross had one set up in an interview 'cubicle' at a blood donation site to protect confidentiality when answering questions: great idea. I absolutely highly recommend this product. Do not hesitate if you need something to help you 'lightly and comfortably' get rid of the everyday noises around you. I purchased the Sleepmate when my other sleep product started to mess up. Mine was a recording and you could start to hear a pattern. I love the Sleepmate as it is an actual sound and not a recording. I have it on the lowest setting and I am sleeping soundly once again. When we have company that stays up past my bedtime, I just increase the sound and it blocks everyone out. I am very happy with this product.Product Review: A wothwhile investment!

If you have a baby or toddler, this item is indispenible during sleep-time. No more tiptoeing past the child's room or leaving the TV off. It allows for a more normal 'existence'.Product Review: A+++++

I purchased this sound machine because we like white noise to sleep and usually use a fan. This has been an unusually cold winter and even pointed away from us, the fan was COLD! This little machine generates a "fan-like" noise. I purchased the larger size but it is still quite compact and will go with us on any trip we take.
