The alarm worked well for the first few days but then my 8 year old daughter just learned to sleep through it even with the changing tones and vibrator. I would help her out of bed but she was groggy and grouchy and never really woke up. We bought this because our 6 year old daughter was wetting her bed every night. The first night the alarm woke her up and she stopped and used the toilet. The next night she didn't stop, but she did wake up. She had a dry night the next night. The next four days were every other day dry and every other day she was able to stop with just slightly damp panties. The next week every night dry. Then the next 9 days only two almost accidents. This alarm is excellent, she was a sound sleeper and it wakes her up quickly, as soon as it feels moisture. We were putting a pull up over her panties but not anymore. This alarm has changed our nights! I highly recommend this alarm. With lots of positive encouragement and this alarm we are almost done with bedwetting, we are definitely going in the right direction!Product Review: Miraculous- worked for special needs older child

Bought this alarm after recommendation from his doctor. While the first couple weeks were very trying (having to get up nightly to assist son to bathroom and turn off alarm); after about two weeks, our son was dry and no accidents...this has continued now for over a year. Highly recommend. Was sceptical if it would work since our son has special needs.
A note to prepare user: the alarms are very VERY loud.....kind of like a firetruck coming through your bedroom in the middle of the night:) but all I can say is no more depends, pads, and no more having to wash sheets constantly.
Best spent $ in a long time. A lifetime of dryness--> priceless.

We were getting frustrated with my daughter's nighttime wetness issues. We tried limiting her liquids and waking her up in the middle of the night, but nothing worked. After reading the reviews we decided to try this product.
Based on the advice in one of the reviews, I decided to ask her if she wanted the pee-pee alarm. She loved the idea and picked the color. Then she couldn't wait for it to arrive.
The first night she was dry. We couldn't believe it. The next night she experienced the alarm for the first time at about 6 am. The following night she came into our room at midnight with the alarm blaring and lights flashing- I was in a deep sleep and thought I was being abducted by aliens (I don't understand how any kids sleep through this alarm- it's very loud, and it flashes and vibrates).
After that night my daughter has been dry- 17 nights in a row. Every morning she wakes up and tells us how many dry nights she's had in a row.
One thing that I decided to do was to stop using the audio alarm because it kind of scared my daughter. Every night I "test" the alarm by setting the alarm off with the sound on. Then I secretly switch the alarm to vibrate mode. My daughter told me that she didn't like hearing the alarm- I told her that she controls the alarm and that if she stays dry then it will never wake her up again. She seemed to like the idea of her having power over the alarm.
We highly recommend this product.
*** Update- It has been less than six months and my daughter has been dry for months- we don't even think about bed-wetting any more.
