Product Review: This WORKS.

This product worked for our 7-year-old son. The first few nights, it was like having a newborn in the house; we were up with him a few times each night, helping him to the bathroom and changing his underwear while he was still bleary-eyed and half asleep. (The alarm would sound, he would wake, and he would finish going in the bathroom.) Then, he simply stayed dry one night. And then another. And another. The instructions recommend using the alarm until 2 full weeks of dryness have been achieved. Our son would get close to the 2 week mark, have an accident (and be woken by the alarm), and then we would start over again, trying to make it to two weeks. All in all, we used it for about 5 or 6 weeks. The vast majority of that time, he was dry through the whole night, but used the alarm, just to be sure. Since then--and that was a full year ago--he has been dry every night. Amazing. Truly a product I wish we had tried earlier, while we were waiting for him to "grow out of it".Product Review: This Works!!!

My son had been wetting his bed consistently until 8 years old in spite of all possible basic strategies that we used (he has Aspergers and this likely contributed to the problem). This little wonder of a device stopped the bed wetting within a few weeks. My son wanted to stop (a critical first step) and this device importantly empowered him. He is about to be nine and I can count on one hand the number of bed wettings he's had in the last year. We were totally desperate and for $99 we found our solution. We would strongly suggest using the tone setting only the first few times (as it wakes up the whole house). My 8 yr old son had been wearing an overnight diaper and we recently decided to try this product. After an initial false start with this product where my son wore it but did not want to have to be woken up by the alarm, we tried it again and the 2nd time around worked. After only a few nights of wearing the alarm where my son came to get me in the middle of the night after a minor accident so I could ensure he was cleaned up before he went back to sleep, my son has since these first few nights not had an accident and woken up in the morning dry. He no longer wears the Malem alarm anymore and wakes up dry. The whole process took a matter of approximately 2 weeks - amazing!Product Review: This alarm works. Period.

This alarm rocks. I wish I had known about it sooner. It only took my almost 7-year-old-daughter about 2-3 weeks and she's completely dry now every morning. This has changed the environment in our household and removed a stress in our house. We borrowed a friend's baby monitor and that's how we could hear her alarm going off (and it went off twice/night in the beginning) and I was tired, but after one week, it went to once/night. Then it just stopped and she now sleeps all night and stays dry all night. This alarm is AMAZING.Product Review: WOW!!!

I have never recommended a product with such confidence in my life. I cannot believe what a genius the Nurse Practitioner who created this is!!! My 5-Year old son has had his fifth consecutive dry night to date and started the program just 14 days ago. After 2-3 wet pull-ups per night and a lot of lost sleep during the first four days I was afraid I was in for a long haul. After 7 days, woo hoo!! first dry night. The rest is history. I will continue to keep the alarm on for 1 and 1/2 weeks like the booklet says, but I am confident and excited that I won't need it much longer.
A few suggestions.. If you can, find your baby monitor or borrow one (don't buy a new one, you won't need if for long) I didn't hear the alarm right away the first few nights and learning is quicker when you rush in as soon as it goes off. For easy clean-up the first few nights, make your child wear underwear, attach unit to outside of underwear and put a pull up on over the underwear. A bag of dollar store items that my son picked out himself was a very positive reinforcement for each dry night. I also had a few small candy prizes for him on nights that he just wore the alarm because waking up was sad for him when he knew the alarm went off. They try so hard.
What a relief. I don't know how this teaches, but it does. It is efficent and works every time. Brava!!!
