Product Review: Great Bedwetting monitor and it works!

My son is 5 1/2 and never had a dry night before the Malem monitor. It went off the first night three times and each time my son was able to stop urinating and finish in the toliet with only a small wet spot on his underwear. The next night it only went off twice and the third night it went off once. Since that time he has been completely dry and either waking up on his own to go to the bathroom or sleeping through the night but waking up totally dry. We are almost to the end of the second week and the alarm hasn't gone off in 11 days. I am was in total shock I thought because my son was such a deep sleeper and had soaking wet pull ups every morning that this monitor may take awhile, but it worked rapidily. I wasn't in favor of starting any sort of training because my pediatrician said to give him time and he would grow out of it, but my son was so insistent and motivated to wake up dry that I decided to try the Malem monitor. The concept works great, but after about 3 weeks of use the alarm wouldn't shut off at night after my child urinated. I had to throw it under a bunch of towels so everyone could get back to sleep..Really disapointing as I spent a lot of money on it..oh well.. on to another brand..Product Review: Great device!

My 7 yr old son, a very heavy sleeper, almost never had a dry night and I was at a loss about what to do-- tried pull-ups (often leaked), waking him up at night to put him on the toilet and neither was working. Enter the Malem Ultimate Bedwetting Alarm- worth its weight in gold! My only regret is that I didn't try it sooner. Now after less than a month my son is sleeping through the night dry! hallelujah! Before buying this product, we were passive about bedwetting. This was not only a proactive way to deal with the problem, but it works really well. Within days, bedwetting was way down. It didn't completely go away over night, but after several weeks it happens rarely instead of almost every night. Our bedwetting really embraced it too.Product Review: Has Helped Tremendously

We were having bedwetting issues with our oldest (6). It seemed he would sleep through anything, but the Malem alarm has worked wonders. At first he had an aversion to wearing the thing, but we made him keep doing it. Over this past weekend he was away at the grandparents and we forgot to send the alarm with. He stayed dry both nights, then came home and asked to try going without. He has stayed dry another 2 nights (waking up at night to use the rest room). We have made a big deal about dry nights and have stayed positive on wet nights. He is so proud of himself now which I think serves to reinforce the positive behavior.
Hopefully it doesn't mess our 6 y.o. up (bunks with his brother), but we started using this on our 5 y.o. last night. Once he is done we'll move right on to our almost 4 y.o. daughter. It will sure be nice to save all that extra money we are literally throwing away on night time pull ups.
My only complaint is that it seemed to give a couple false alarms (he was completely dry), and then it got stuck in alarm mode. We had to remove the detector wire from the base unit to get it to stop. After a thorough cleaning in soapy water and doing what I could to scrub the contacts with a q-tip it started working normally again.
