I got myself, a friend and her two young children Mabis hot water bottles. Fabulous way on cold nights to stay warm and cozy in bed. Her kids love it and it's become a winter night bedtime ritual. This hot water bottle fulfills its hot water bottle mission--it can be filled with hot water and will warm you right up. But it goes one step farther: It smells so strongly of plastic that it will also cause anything it comes in contact with to reek, so much so that long after its heat has dissipated the odor is so strong that you won't worry about the cold. You don't even need to waste time heating water and filling the bottle. Just nuzzle up to it and the stench will make you forget your frigid feet.Product Review: Good choice

This bottle is well made and durable. It's important to use a water bottle that won't leak, a problem I've had with other brands. The only drawback is a strong rubber smell for the first week or so of use. The odor seems to be dissipating with time and is not really a problem compared with other brands which also can smell a bit.
