This is the second blanket support I have purchased. I have mild drop foot. My first blanket support lasted 8 years; the screws finally stripped. I do use a small wrench to tighten the screws, or they do loosen when laying heavier bedding over the frame. I do agree with the people who have feet longer than a size 9 or 10 - with a pillow top mattress (depending on the mattress depth) your toes may touch the bedding laying over the frame, which defeats its purpose. On cold nights I wear cotton socks (not heavy socks) to bed or preheat the foot area with a rice bag on very cold nights. I miss it when on vacation.
