I love this thermometer. I love that it talks so I can use it no matter what the lighting conditions, and I don't have to squint. My husband needs reading glasses and often can't find them. He was very happy with his present. It works well. It repeats twice more what the reading was. There is no memory of past temps, but a pencil and piece of paper solves that.

An ideal health-tracking tool for the visually impaired, this talking household thermometer from Mabis clearly calls out temperature readings in addition to displaying them digitally. When peak temperature is recorded, it says aloud, for example, "Your body temperature is 100 degrees Fahrenheit." Designed for oral, rectal, and under-the-arm readings, the thermometer features a hard body and tapered tip with simple, raised power buttons. In 60 seconds, it delivers Fahrenheit readings that are accurate to .20 degrees, signaling peak temperature with a beep. Handy features include last-reading memory recall, automatic shut-off, and a long-life battery.
