Product Reviews of MAVALA Nail Polish & Nail Care ProductsProduct Review: Great but .... Summary: 4 StarsThis is a great product for the purpose it serves, but it is really bitter, i guess thats the whole point of it. My child would have everything she touched become bitter, i wish there was a way it could just stay on the nail without getting everything else bitter too.It did stop her from putting her fingers in her mouth though so I would still say it is a good product overall.
Product Review: Great Product Summary: 5 StarsThis product is great! Our 3 year old daughter stopped sucking her thumb completely within 2 weeks. We are now using it on our 5 year old son to help him stop biting his fingernails. I highly recommend Mavala Stop! It's a great value.
Product Review: works great Summary: 5 Stars3 1/2 yr old sucked her thumb a lot. with in 2 wks she stopped. First four days she would wake up or start to go to sleep with the taste in her mouth a little bit of juice would help take away the taste. She never cried about it she just would say I have the yucky taste in my mouth and we would take care of it. I explained to her before using it what it was and what would happen if she sucked her thumb. very quick and effective.
Product Review: Effective if you're diligent Summary: 4 StarsThis product does exactly what it claims to do - keep thumbs and fingers out of the mouth. I use it on my 3-year old because our dentist said it was best to break her thumb-sucking before turning 4. We bought the silicone thumb splints ($95!) from the dentist but she's strong and smart and could pull them off no matter how snug we put them on and we didn't like to keep them on all day and ultimately ran out of bands before she broke the habit. We apply Mavala every day because she takes long baths and the taste was not strong enough to keep her thumb out of her mouth after one bath. I've read it takes a month to break a habit like this so we plan to apply this daily for at least that long. I tried the product on myself as others have and it tastes like it smells and definitely keeps her thumbs and fingers out of the mouth. I worried that she may protest and make it difficult to apply but she willingly lets us put on her "nail polish" every night after bath. I caution using this product if your child eats a lot with their fingers but otherwise strongly recommend it if you are willing to apply daily.
Product Review: "STOP", really works! Summary: 5 Stars I needed someting to make my grandson to stop sucking his thumb, and bitting his nails. He is three ( 3 ) years old now and I was afraid of what this was doing to his teeth, and bitting his nails meant his fingers were in his mouth, and that means GERMS!!!!
