THIS IS A PERFECT MONITOR FOR THE PERSON THAT WANTS A MONITOR THAT EITHER DOESN'T WORK OR CONSISTANTLY INACURATELY SHOWS YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AT STROKE LEVELS. THE FIRST LUMISCOPE 1143 THAT WAS SENT TO ME WOULDN'T EVEN TURN ON WHEN NEW BATTERIES WERE IN THE DEVICE. I TESTED THE SECOND DEVICE OVER A THREE DAY PERIOD. IT CONSISTANTLY DELIVERED PRESSURE READINGS THAT WERE IN STROKE LEVEL. I CALLED MY DOCTOR AND HE HAD ME COME TO HIS OFFICE. HE TESTED ME USING HIS EQUIPMENT. IT SHOWED NORMAL READINGS. THEN WE USED THE LUMISCOPE. THE LUMISCOPE'S READING WAS STROKE LEVEL. HE RECOMENDED ONLY USEING ONLY MONITORS WITH CUFFS THAT FIT OVER THE UPPER ARM.Product Review: Not Accurate

Unless my blood pressure has jumped 20 points on both systolic and diastolic scale, then this is not accurate. I worked in a hospital for twenty years, so I think I can use this device properly. I sent it back.Product Review: Poor item.

This blood pressure machine doesn't read off the correct measurement for the blood pressure. It is making it higher than it really is. I wish I hadn't purchased this item. I won't make this mistake again. I had to go purchase a name brand monitor to have a correct reading.Product Review: Save your money

I don't normally bother to write reviews but Amazon emailed me and asked me to review it.
On the face of it this device works perfectly but here is my experience with it.
I can take two readings right after each other and the first will be like 195/95 and the second will be 160/78. There is a similar disparity between left and right wrists. So I have concluded, as my doctor warned me, when I said I was thinking of buying one, that wrist ones are not very reliable.

This monitor constantly records a 30 to 40 percent higher blood pressure than the arm monitors. I checked with a doctor and I was informed that wrist BP is NOT higher than arm BP. So, I stopped using this product.
