Product Reviews of Lumbar Extender Back Stretcher

Product Review: Order this elsewhere
Summary: 1 Stars

Lumbar Extender Back StretcherMine supposedly shipped April 17th with an estimated arrival date of April 25. As I write this, it's May 1 and no Lumbar Extender in sight. Supposedly it's sitting in Denver. Doesn't do my Virginia back much good there.

Product Review: Provides a Great Stretch
Summary: 4 Stars

I first saw this item advertised in the SkyMall catalog when I was on a recent flight. I ordered it and have not been disappointed.

I'm 55 years old, sit at a desk all day, and have seen the older members of my family become quite stooped. I'd like to avoid that fate. I use this device for five-minute stretches about three times a day, and find it has helped my posture a great deal. I've sent a couple of them to family members with back and posture issues, and they have been similarly pleased.

Product Review: Release the Stress
Summary: 4 Stars

I consulted with my chiropractor before I bought the lumbar extender back stretcher. He said that it would be good for my back. It must do something because it hurts when I fully stretch with my legs straight and arms above my head. The stretch is relieved a little when I bend my knees. I think it is a good product, and I would recommend it for people with back problems. I have scolosis and some vertbrae out of alignment. I use it on the days I can't make it to the chiropractor office.

Product Review: Relief
Summary: 5 Stars

I love this product even more than my teeter hang up. The hang up is great if you don't get dizzy easily. I do, so the back stretcher is a godsend. I use it with the Real-Ease neck thingy twice a day along with the thera cane and notice a lot of improvement. Of course we all need to strengthen our core for lasting effects. So sit ups need to be in the regime too.

I did notice there is one simular to this one that is a lot cheaper. I wish I had bought that one, but I wanted mine right away so I bought mine at a local store.

Update: There is a better back stretcher out there. One that will stretch the upper back as well as the lower. I think it's called Spinedoc. You can find it if you look at my other reviews.

Product Review: Super Extender
Summary: 5 Stars

Even after short periods of sitting (in an office chair) or getting out of bed in the morning my back and hips ached and I had to move slowly to loosen up. I'm not one to visit a chiropractor on a regular basis. My boyfriend, who is a pilot, suggested I try his extender saying that he never goes anywhere without it. I had a bit of difficulty relaxing the first few times I used it but soon realized what a hugh difference it made in the way I felt! I can relax instantly now. Needless to say I bought my own and it has been worth every penny.

One caution I would make in regard to coming off the extender is to arch your back just enough to slide it out from under you (to the side) rather that rolling off the side like suggested in the instructions. I rolled off the first few times and ended up bruising my rib which has taken a while to recover.
