I saw on Oprah the intro of LOVELY with Sarah J. Parker. I ordered and was not disappointed. It's very feminine. It's a light scent, but it does leave one wanting another whiff. The bottle is a little tricky to hold but it's a beautiful bottle. I have worn BEAUTIFUL only by Estee Lauder for years, but am now alternating between LOVELY and BEAUTIFUL. When I got the spray (Jessica Parker's "Lovely" perfume spray, Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker for Women 3.4 Eau De Parfume Spray I noticed it was a different color than one I had, e.g. slightly orange like and not the pink tinge of the original one. In smelling I noticed that the one recently ordered had a definite alcohol smell, whereas the original I had did not. What a shame. I am sure this was to cut costs and hoping customers woulod not notice. Well I did and will not buy again...what a shame because it HAS BEEN my favorite. I mistakenly ordered the wrong item for my wife's Christmas gift and wanted to return it. Amazon won't let me return it because it is considered flammable. So when ordering be sure your item is not classified as hazardous (perfume?) or you will not be able to return it. My name is LuLu...and I treated myself to Sarah Jessica Parker's "Lovely" fragrance for my birthday this past October.
When I received the fragrance...I couldn't wait to open and use it...but when I sprayed on me...I found it rather "heavy" in scent. Somehow I thought it would be a lighter....fresher.....scent. It does last a significant amount of hours during the day. I wouldn't wear this fragrance in the summertime...it is more suited for the Fall/Winter season. Based on this I was a bit disappointed.
But...the packaging, style of the bottle and definitely the price were quite good. I would consider purchasing another fragrance from Sarah's line...but I would use a "tester" at a dept. store rather than a scratch off strip. Obviously, this was not a good indicator of what the real scent of the fragrance. Since I had worked for a major cosmetic and fragrance company for over 12 years....I know that this fragrance is made with high quality oils..and ingredients...especially since the scent does stay with you for several hours. And...with a 3.4 oz...bottle it will last awhile...since one does not need to spray much on the body.
I certainly glad I got it...and I have been using it especially now during these late Fall and upcoming Winter days. Thank you.
