I've been looking for alternatives to whiten my teeth so I wouldn't have to put up with the 2 hour laser procedure, and I must say Listerine Whitening really does the trick!
By using this Listerine formula in the morning upon waking up, and before going to bed, I found that my teeth have signficantly whitened over the course of several weeks. Though the difference is minimal, it is still a noticeable difference, and that is exactly what I'm looking for in a whitening agent. It feels great and combined with brushing after the rinse, makes my mouth feel very clean. I highly recommend finishing off the rinse, brush combo with general Listerine antiseptic to close the deal.
I've been seeing many complaints about this product, namely that it leaves a 'film' over the teeth. I've been using it for nearly 3 months, and have NEVER had such a problem. Many people who I have spoken to that claim to have a film on their teeth afterwards usually also tell me 'I use it AFTER I brush' or 'I don't brush when I use it'. The directions clearly tell you that it is a PRE-BRUSH rinse...you have to brush after you use it. I have never heard of anyone having problems with this product if they follow the plainly simple directions. It does not sting, and it does NOT leave a film on my teeth, ever. I have also NOT experienced any increase of tooth sensitivity, as some customers have claimed to have. If anything, this product makes my teeth feel stronger, aside from being very fresh and clean.
In the 2+ months I have used this product, I have been very satisfied. Listerine has delivered a great product and I plan to continue using Listerine Whitening indefinitely. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to the dental laser procedure, that annoying night plate or any of those other so-called 'miracle' whitening products, then look no further; Listerine delivers. Its certainly not going to give you mirror finish on your teeth, but it WILL noticeably brighten your teeth.
