Product Reviews of Lights Out Sleep Mask Black

Product Review: I can't travel without it
Summary: 5 Stars

I tried this mask about a year ago before a long business trip- It is amazingly comfortable- I can freely move my eyelids underneath it, and now the minute I get on a plane I put it on and I am immediately relaxed.
I have never had this experience with another sleep mask.

Product Review: It Works
Summary: 5 Stars

My wife has problems sleeping during the day. This thing really DOES block out all the light. Now, if we could just find some ear-friendly earplugs....

Product Review: Lets light in around the nose area
Summary: 3 Stars

The mask is comfortable around the face area but after a week or so of use the straps started irritating my ears. My ears are sore and some skin around the lobe is chaffing. They need to design a more comfortable strap. Even more irritating though is that the mask does not seal well around the nose. Light gets in around the nose area and makes it difficult to fall asleep. My bedroom window faces east and I get a lot of bright sunlight in the morning. I was hoping this mask would solve that problem. It didn't.

Edit: I have washed this mask a few times since I bought it and it is falling apart badly now. I was even sure to wash it gently and let it hang dry. Now I'm back on Amazon looking for a replacement.

Product Review: Lights Out Sleep Mask
Summary: 5 Stars

I was previously given a Lights Out Sleep Mask as a gift and loved it, but lost it so decided to buy another one. This mask is great for travel and everyday use. I highly recommend it for those who are sensitive to light when sleeping.

Product Review: My favorite mask
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased three eye masks at the same time to see which worked best for me: The Bucky Shades Fur Sleep Mask, the Lghts Out Mask, and the Lewis and Clark mask. None of them kept out the right perfectly, as there as some light seepage in all three at the bottom of the mask. The Bucky was the largest and thickest of the three, the Lights Out the thinnest and lightest. The Bucky's prominent lower bolster lies under the eyes and across the nose keeping out most of the light and providing some space between the mask and the lower portion of your eye lids. When I wear this mask I still feel some contact between by eyelids and the the inside of the mask. The strap is wide and closes in the middle of the back of the head with velcro. I found that the strap put some pressure on my ears. Also the mask is made of a thick polyfleece type material and could be uncomfortable on a warm night. The fur may make the mask grab at the pillow and shift out of position. The Lights Out mask has a molded mask with a smooth satin finish. It is very light and on my face does not touch my eyelids. As all of the pressure is on the bridge of the nose and around the orbit of the eyes, the pressure in these places is slightly greater than on masks that rest on the eyes as well but off set by the light weight. This did not bother me. The strap has a velcro closure but very little adjustability. This is my favorite of the three masks although could slip around the head of an active sleeper. The Lewis and Clark fits too tight on my big head. It is the lowest cost and is adequate, particularly for travel where you might lose it. It was my least favorite of the three.
