I weigh 220 lbs. and this FIRM version for coccyx support is a life saver. I use it EVERYday and at night I use the gel fleece product (not listed here). Don't buy a cheaper product. i bought them all. You need THIS one.

Product Review: Relief for long travel

This is my second Tush Cush seat cushion and it is exactly what I needed. (I accidently left my first one on a train in France, which made the flight back home more uncomfortable than usual.) I have a tailbone that's sensitive to sitting for long periods of time, so this is perfect for car or air travel. The strap across the opening keeps the cushion from spreading out underneath me, makes it easy to carry and it also makes it possible for me to fit it over the handle of my rolling carry-on so I don't need both hands for carrying things through the airport. One thing I'm going to do with my new Tush Cush is buy a cord to attach to my belt loop and the cushion so I don't accidently leave it behind again. (But just in case, I bought 2 Tush Cushes this time!)
I noticed some reviews complain that it's too hard. I'm 5'3" and 120 lb. so I don't exert alot of pressure on it, but I think the density is perfect. I had another brand cushion and was very disappointed in its "mushiness".

I have always had a problem when I go on a meditation retreat - due to severe arthritis, I have to use a chair and after two days or so, the small of my back just hurts. Over the years I have tried many types of back support, all with very little result. Finally, I bought the Tush Cush and took it on a long retreat (sitting 12-18 hours / day for four months straight) and did not experience *any* back pain the entire time!
For the first couple of months the firm cush felt a mite too firm, but either my body adjusted or the cush softened up a little bit. Whichever, the cush, while very reasonable from the beginning, became quite comfortable to use continuously. It's coming with me on all of my retreats!
