Product Reviews of Lansinoh Breast Milk Storage Bags, 50-Count

Product Review: A must have...
Summary: 5 Stars

Great bags. Easy to use. I love that you can write date and volume on the outside opening so ink doesn't come in contact with your milk. BPA free and you can lay them flat in the freezer so they are easy to store and don't take up a lot of space.

Product Review: Amazon pricing is incorrect
Summary: 5 Stars

I can't believe Amazon is listing this as originally $100.00. You can buy them at babiesrus.com for $12.99 and they are normally $8.42 on Amazon when it is not part of the "lightning deal". Check around before you believe you are really getting such a high percentage off.

Product Review: Bad quality, leaks easily
Summary: 1 Stars

I switched to these bags after my local store stopped carrying the First Years brand milk storage bags which I used for all of my milk freezing needs three years ago and again with my new baby. Never had a prob with the First Years brand but Lansinoh bags leak constantly!!!! I finally figured out the problem after losing quite a few 5 ounce thawed bags of breastmilk. The bags are flimsy and can/will tear after freezing. Any normal handling can create a tiny tear on the side that is barely noticeable until you defrost. This is the most annoying thing because it takes so much work to get your milk pumped in the first place. The bags should have a reasonable degree of strength and this brand does not. I am returning my remaining supply of Lansinoh bags and ordering the First Years brand from Amazon. In all this has cost me over 25 ounces of "liquid gold". Note: I am VERY careful with the handling of my bags and do not abuse the bags at all. I just place them in a plastic storage container within my freezer away from other items but still get leaks all the time. TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!!!

Product Review: Bags Leak!
Summary: 2 Stars

Out of about 30 bags of frozen breastmilk I have had five or six leak when thawed- that is about 20%! Bad odds. The bags work great for just storing in the fridge, but not in the freezer. I have taken to putting each bag in a zip-lock sandwich bag when I thaw so I do not waste the precious breastmilk. The bags are great for pouring and the spot for labeling is also nice. Overall I will not be purchasing any more of these and I wish I did not have two boxes left!

Product Review: Bags were great, til I got a box that isn't
Summary: 2 Stars

I've been using these bags for over six months and have gone through a couple of boxes of the 25 and 50-counts. Up until recently, I had no complaints - they worked well, defrosted well and were easy to use.
But recently, I've had a bunch of bags from a new box that have ended up with holes or other leaks. I do not know what is causing this other than the freeze/thaw cycle. Nothing else about the process I've been doing is different. It is very unfortunate because I lost quite a bit of milk before realizing it was the new box. I have thrown them out and are now trying Medela.
