Product Reviews of Lansinoh 20265 Disposable Nursing Pads, 60-pack

Product Review: Tried many - these are the best
Summary: 5 Stars

I've tried a number of different nursing pads, Johnson's and Gerber brands. I find Lansinoh's hold up the best. They are thin and discrete and the gel core holds quite a bit without leaking. They also hold up better than Gerber when they become wet on the outside (from a damp nursing bra).

Product Review: Truly the best
Summary: 5 Stars

I discovered these pads by accident after I had my first child 5 years ago. They are absolutely the best. They don't show under even the clingiest clothing. The polymer (kind of like the absorbent stuff in a disposable diaper) combined with the formed shape of the pad are great throughout the day, as it makes the pad form to your breast as it gets wet. So, you don't end up looking "lumpy" at all. I tested the absorbency, and was able to fill up a pad with nearly 2 ounces of liquid before it was saturated. They are a little pricey, as compared to other pads, but I have tried a few different brands, and these are the only ones I will wear out. I do buy cheapies to wear around the house, since it doesn't matter if they show or not.

Product Review: Very comfortable while being absorbant
Summary: 5 Stars

I had gotten these first because of the reviews. I also wound up with free samples of Medela pads. The Medela ones are no where near as comfortable and tended to irritate my nipples when they were sore early on. Also, if you are using lanolin for dryness/soreness, I found that these don't stick to the lanolin, while the Medela ones did. You will notice a slight coloring where the lanolin was touching the pad, but that's all.

I've been using these for 2 months and find them extremely useful, especially at night. Occasionally side-sleeping has caused let-down and while I've woken up with the pads noticably heavy with milk, I didn't have any leaks messing up the bed at the same time.

Product Review: Well worth the extra pennies per pad!
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a new nursing mom and I am so thankful to have discovered these pads! I started out using Curity pads, tried LilyPadz, used a few Johnson & Johnson pads, but by far, Lansinoh's disposable pads have been the best I've used. True, they tend to cost a few pennies more per pad than others, but try them and you'll rest assured that it's money well spent! Not once since I've started using Lansinoh pads have I leaked -- not even since my son started sleeping through the night. It's amazing what these super slim pads can hold... And the self-adhesive strip is great too, it helps prevent sliding and bunching. Love 'em!

Product Review: Word of caution for busty moms.
Summary: 3 Stars

Overall advice: don't buy a large quantity of any nursing pad until you find one you really like.

Specific advice: If you started your pregancy with large breasts (DD and up before baby) I believe that you might prefer the supermarket-available GERBER brand pads to these. The curvature of the Lansinoh pads presumes a medium or large (but not huge) breast. This made the pads more noticeable under clothing. These pads are very absorbent, and do effectively prevent leakage.
