Customer Review: Good, simplistic bar and variety, terrible price

I like the simplicity of Larabars, how they have about 5 ingredients or less, some just 2 and all is fruit or nuts, nothing else. I hate chemicals in my foods. But simplicity seems to call for outrageous prices in the minds of the manufacturer. Why?? Dates are cheap and that is what these are mostly! Larabars are not only outrageously priced on Amazon but at local supermarkets as well. It isn't worth the price.
My personal taste opinion: Cherry is too tart for me, I don't enjoy these. Cashew Cookie is very good and neutral and apple pie is good as well..not very sweet, good texture, pleasant flavor and no additives, sugar, preservatives, etc. My fave will always be the peanut butter ones. I think they're so overpriced that I'll not repurchase until there is a sale. These things really aren't worth more than a dollar each, let alone the $31 a box this company is asking or the approx $26-$28 I see directly from Amazon.
