Product Review: Helps with Low back pain (disc at L4-L5)

When I first tried this, I had NO expectations that it would help. I was quite skeptical, to be honest. I've used narcotic pain relievers several times a day for almost 10 years now, due to a lumbar disc problem at L4-L5 (plus the usual problems with surrounding discs). Nothing but the drugs, ice, and rest have ever helped.
This helps. Not permanently, but it definitely helps.
Unlike some other reviewers, when the Kool 'N Fit is first sprayed on my back I experience it as a wonderful cool blast. For MY back, cool is good. It seems to have a numbing effect on the skin and somehow on the disc and nerve generated pain as well. For me, this lasts for 30 minutes or more.
Positive: It works. I use it several times a week and an 8 ounce bottle has lasted for about 5 months.
Negatives: I don't know how this works. It bothers me that I don't understand how it works. It also does have an odor (menthol-ish), but the odor's not as strong as products like Ben-Gay.

I bought this product on the recommendation from someone else who liked it.
I have arthritis in my knees and lower back. I put some of it on my back and legs and smelled like a mountain goat.
It doesn't relieve the pain, but gives a temporary sensation of heat. I would not recommend it for arthritis, but maybe it would help with sprains etc. if you can get over the medicinee smell.

I've used Kool 'N Fit for years now. I have degenerative arthritis in my C-3 (neck) and lower lumbar and general chronic neck pain.
This item works very quickly to really relax the pain(s). I have no idea why it works when all the other stuff I've tried doesn't (arthritic creams, pain pills (way back when), other sprays), but this stuff really sinks in without being too heavy and it's truly like a miracle for those of use who have chronic pain.
I highly recommend this item, even though it may look just like all the other stuff, it isn't - it has really helped me with my chronic, sometimes acute pain.

i bought both the pain relieving liquid and the sport liquid and found both to worked very well. i prefer the pain reliever over the sport it seemed to give me more relief of back pain after a day of alpine skiing. i have also recommended this product to friends with joint pains who are now sold on it. for me this product works very well.
