Product Review: Don't flush ancient forests!

This product is on the Greenpeace list of paper products to AVOID. Old growth forests are being destroyed to make toilet paper, facial tissues, paper towels and other disposable paper products. I used to buy Scott & Kleenex, but I can't in good conscience continue, so I am buying Green Forest & Seventh Generation bath tissues from Amazon; they're every bit as soft and absorbent. Many big brands also still use chlorine bleach, a very toxic substance containing chlorinated organic compounds and dioxins, to whiten their product when safer methods are available. I've recently learned that if every household in the United States replaced JUST ONE ROLL of virgin fiber toilet paper (500 sheets) with 100% recycled ones, we could save 423,900 trees!! If you can't afford to buy all your paper from a green producer, maybe you could just replace ONE roll each time you shop. Here is your chance to make a small change that will reap big benefits for our environment. Please go to the NRDC and Greenpeace websites to see which disposable paper products use the most post-consumer recycled material and non-chlorine bleaching, and also to see how you can pressure the big paper companies to increase their post-consumer paper content.Product Review: Ineffective facial tissue

I order paper products in bulk on line because then I don't have to carry them home from the store as they as so big and bulky - they take up almost the whole grocery cart, too. I am pleased Amazon offers the same brand names and quality of product as we find at our local grocers. The prices are excellent and there is no tax or shipping costs. What a pleasure to open your door and there stands the UPS guy with your supply of paper goods! I order my Kleenex, toilet tissue and paper towels by this method. I would prefer to buy a product that was 100% recycled paper and 100% post-consumer content. I would pay more for such a product. However, I've tried every brand of 100% recycled paper tissues I've come across, and they are simply too coarse for me to tolerate during times of illness when I'm blowing my nose over and over and over. These Kleenex tissues with their modest amount of recycled content are better than nothing (environmentally speaking), and I find them to be equally soft to standard Kleenex tissues.
I will continue to buy Green Forest or Whole Foods 365 store brand 100% recycled paper tissues for everyday use--i.e., times when my nose isn't sore from frequent nose-blowing. However, even those brands aggravate me by being sold only in smaller count boxes.
If I had my way, I'd be able to buy a case of 100% recycled paper tissues, made with 100% post-consumer recycled content, non-chlorine-bleached, sold in the highest-count box size (is it 280-count for the big Kleenex boxes?), and they would be made as soft as standard Kleenex tissues. I like a bargain, but I would gladly pay more if necessary to meet all of these objectives.
It would be great if they were in attractive boxes, too. ;)
These Kleenex "Natural" White Facial Tissues in the 184-count box are a decent compromise for my purposes. The box designs are neutral and I got four different colored box designs in my case.
