Product Reviews of Kirkland Extra Strength Glucosamine HCl Chondroitin Sulfate-190 TabletsProduct Review: Great Customer Service Followup Summary: 5 Stars
My shipment got lost. I was sent another shipment as soon as I notified the seller.
Product Review: Great for dogs too! Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best product for the price to use for dogs too. A Vet suggested we try this before buying more expensive "Vet" products. My 13 y/o dog could barely get up and within a week or two he was incredibly better. That was 1 year ago and he's still going. My vet uses this personally too. Great product!
Product Review: Great value... but Summary: 4 Stars
Kirkland continues to have probably the best going value out of just about anything they sell (Kirkland = CostCo). Note that the serving size is only 2 pills a day, while most other products are 3-4/day. This is also a bit stronger of a combination of chondroitin and glucosomine than most other products. This is the best deal for how much you are getting if you were to add up the mg of both chondroitin and glucosomine and divide by price. HOWEVER, and why I felt obligated to ding it down to 4 stars instead of giving it 5. List price is listed at $79? That is a flat out lie. Go to any CostCo and you will find this for under $30 and sometimes with the coupon, closer to $20. I just do not like the beefed up marketing. It makes me question what else is not really discounted throughout Amazon (I know CostCo inside and out, so I can verify this one). You can only buy this at CostCo or Amazon (or similar sites) and the list price is less than half of this (of the $79 list price, not actual selling price).
Product Review: Huge tablets Summary: 2 Stars
The product nutrition seems fine (see Consumer Reports -- it is #1). However these are very large pills. If you have trouble taking large pills, then these aren't for you.
Product Review: Incredibly Effective, and in only a month or so Summary: 5 Stars
This is my first review on Amazon, even though I've purchased dozens of things. The only reason I felt compelled to review this product is because it relates to health, which I feel is incredibly important. I am an avid rock climber, and as such, I put a lot of stress on my hands. Last year, I developed a ligament injury in my ring fingers which caused me to have to take almost six months off before it healed. This year, things were going great, until that familiar pain started up again, this time in my middle fingers. I was terrified that I was going to be sidelined for another six months or more, which for anyone who climbs, is intolerable. I read in Climbing Magazine about Glucosamine/Chondroitin and how effective it can be for some people, so I bought this product. I've been taking it super-consistently [one pill in the morning after breakfast, one at night after dinner] for about six weeks now, and I feel amazing! Last night I went to the gym and had perhaps my best climbing day ever, I was cranking super hard on tiny holds, something that normally puts my fingers in pain for days. Today, I don't even feel like I cranked hard last night. They're a bit sore, but with that good soreness that makes me think they'll get stronger. Anyway, I'm ranting by this point, but for $30, if you've got ligament or tendon related issues, especially inflammation, I recommend this product wholeheartedly. Oh, and if you have a problem with big pills, my recommendation is to suck it up and take them anyway... I mean, there's worse things in life, right? ;-)
