I gave this 2 stars because afterall, you can, after a fashion, get some lotion on your back. However, the surface of the head is so hard that it just kind of slides it around on your back. I was exhausted by the time I got the lotion I had applied worked in. I bought this based on the reviews I read on Amazon, but there's got to be something better out there to apply lotion to your than this.
