Product Review: Helped a lot for Runner's knee

I've had runner's knee for 5 years. Few months ago started with my third physical therapist. They applied kinesio tape and I've been using it every day for about 3 months. It greatly reduced pain, almost completely stopped the popping and grinding of my knee. It is so much better than the bulky braces and wraps cause it doesn't get hot, more comfortable and stretches to conform to movement. I would say it is not all the tape helping with the pain, I also do stretching and strenthening excercises. Most the excercises I was given I couldn't preform until I used the tape. I would recomend consulting a doctor to show how to apply the tape, and get stretching and strengthening excercises.Product Review: I'm allergic - but it worked perfectly otherwise

I've given this tape 4 stars because it did exactly what I wanted: protected my neck from the rash I get from my triathlete wet suit (obviously while swimming in it). It stuck on very well though I should add that I washed my neck first and then wiped it with rubbing alcohol to make sure of good adhesion.
The first time I used it my neck felt like it had been sunburned - and that's what I thought it was. Today I used it in a race and it hurt like hell to pull it off and underneath my skin was very red and later turned to a perfect 2" rash around my neck.
Granted, this is not a typical use but I am disappointed that I'm allergic. Still, amazing this stuff stuck on through the continuous rubbing of a wet suit on my neck in water.

I am a runner and have been experiencing IT Band pain after running about 9-10 miles-a friend recommended I try this tape-I taped it on my leg just above the knee and ran 12 miles with absolutely no pain or discomfort at all-was totally amazed!! I've had severe constant pain for weeks following knee replacement surgery. My Physical Therapist applied Kinesio Tex Tape and I've had such an immediate reduction in pain, I've been able to stop taking most pain medication. It stays on 3-5 days and stays on during water therapy. Caution: Do not use this product unless you've received instruction from a trained physical or occupational therapist.Product Review: It does not stick long enough!

I purchased the Gold Kinesio Tape, and then I saw the black one thinking oh this will stay on longer because it is water resistant. Well, the black one came off easier! I love the product itself. It has truly helped me to recover after my knee surgery. I moved around more with less pain, and it also helped me heal faster. However, I will be sticking with the Gold tape going forward.
