I purchased these card holders so that my mother and I could play cards again. She has rather severe arthritis in both hands and holding cards over playing time became too painful. She can play for as long as we like now and would not be without them. (I also purchased an automatic shuffling machine, again, as she could not properly shuffle due to arthritis.) Before purchasing, I had read the review noting the strongly unpleasant odor. Sure enough, when I opened the package, the smell was very strong -- enough to give one a headache if exposed for too long. So, I put them outdoors in the sun for two days. The smell evaporated almost entirely and has not returned (over a year now.) So, if the thought of the smell of black rubber tires turns you away, try that and you may be pleasantly surprised. (Someone else suggested to me that putting them in the dryer might also accomplish the odor removal.)Product Review: Excellent, Durable Card Holder

My 5 year old was really struggling to hold playing cards. I heard about card playing holders, but most appeared to be rather flimsy. In several reviews, people said how durable these were, so I decided to give them a try.
These are wonderful playing card holders. Very durable and easy to use. My 5 year old could easily get 7 cards in these and had a lot of fun taking cards in and out. No cards were damaged, even with a 5 year old using them.
The holders can be held or placed on a table. The table prop legs are molded into the card holders and are very durable also. It would be difficult to break these off.
These would also be wonderful for seniors or people with disabilities. Well worth the few more dollars I paid over the other brands that appeared to be very flimsy.

I made a mistake ordering these. They look fine but not what I was needing. I failed to read the product description well enough. If I had known there were only two instead of four I might still have been alright with them but needed four and not what I really wanted. I am sure they are great but just not what I needed.
