Product Reviews of Isokinetics Inc. Pedal Exerciser - Assembled - With Anti-Slip Strips

Product Review: Notes from a computer potatoe...
Summary: 5 Stars

Well, I've had mine for about two weeks...suprisingly I actually use it!

First of all, if you are indifferent to exercise equipment (like me) it's usually a waste of money to buy any of them. But this under the desk type equipment caught my eye while surfing Amazon.com. Fits under the desk/table eh? Small, lightweight, comes assembled?--under twenty bucks.

BINGO!

So I get it, and a set of 10 pound ankle weights. After reading all the reviews, and figuring no matter what happened I could get it to work for me just the way I want it to. It does.

Here is how my theory works. I don't mind sweating, I don't mind working--as long as I'm paid for it. Exercise for health--HA! Exercise so I can live longer--HA, HA! (I laugh at the idea). However, wouldn't it be nice to have something under the desk (just for those few impulses) where I don't have to set it up or move it out of the way----or ANYTHING?

Yes it would...it sounds like my cup of tea.

I found that after 12 hours on the computer a day, I'd get about one hour exercise on this thing without me resisting the impulse. That's an hour a day of exercise I wouldn't have gotten....not bad, right? Right.

So here is my bottom line information.

1. My measurements show the top of the peddle at 12 1/2 inches from the floor (when the peddle is at the top of its stroke).
2. With my leg on it (at the top) it comes in at 30 inches even.
3. The bottom of my computer table is 29 inches. (REMEMBER THIS).
4. The bottom of the peddle (at its lowest position) is 4 1/2 inches from the floor.

So, what does this all mean? Well, it means you are gonna have to push the peddles in front of you some so when your leg is at the top position it won't hit the table/desk. When I pushed mine out about six inches my knee cap dropped two inches.

Plus, remember those ankle weights? Mine are ten pounds (five pounds each). I found I got a ton of exercise using them...but I also found they were too unconfortable. So, I strapped them to the peddles (five pounds each). Now--you won't get as much exercise with them on the peddles instead of your ankles.......but you WILL get more exercise with them on the peddles than you would if you didn't have them.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo all in all, I like this product. I feel it is for those of us who are the walking wounded, or like me--just not into exercise (at all). I recommend it for all of us who sit too much, and also for those of us who spend too much time behind the computer or tv.

Just remember, any exercise beats no exercise.

bye!

well worth the money .

Product Review: Multi-task Work and Exercise - Great Combination!
Summary: 4 Stars

I love this product because I believe it is good in quality for the price.

And I've found a way to work and exercise at the same time.

I purchased a laptop desk for about $29 at Walmart. It's called Ridgewood - Model 9217096WGP. I assembled the desk (without the wheels, so I can push the legs/base under my sofa - in order to bring the desk closer into me), then I placed the pedal exerciser underneath the desk. It's not perfect. But I am highly satisfied with the opportunity to work on my laptop and get some exercise in. I believe it's worth it. I plan to work like this every day.

Product Review: Good

Its a great product that i just keep by my computer and whip it out whenever.....its easy and does give tension and the grip at the feet help hold in place perfectly. I only wish it gave more tension options...but i get what I paid for.

Product Review: important help

I had a knee replacement and needed some way to exercise more at home. This works really well in helping my knee.
