Just received this today. It's fully assembled, minus the electronic pad on the front which just snaps on. Before putting it on I peered inside to get a look at it.
Gobs of grease everywhere practically dripping from the gears. Well lubed, so I figured it would be smooth.
However, it is not. While it fits perfectly under my desk, and gives me room to move my legs, it's still very jerky. Nowhere near as smooth as an exercise bike you'd find at a gym. I decreased the resistance all the way and it was just as jerky so I increased it to the max... didn't feel a lick of a difference.
The foot straps also snag on the pedals and bars with each rotation, making the jerky movement even more annoying.
I'll be keeping this and using it, but very disappointed with the flow and really wish I knew why it jerked around so much while peddling.
Edit: After two days of owning this and using it daily, the electronic pad on the front stopped recording or responding. I pried it off to see if the batteries came loose but discovered that the wire that easily connects to the control panel had -ripped the connection clean off-. I looked closely and noticed that it was only held on by two dabs of glue. It's fixable but it's absurd how shoddy this thing was built. I can still use it without the panel, but I'm very disappointed with this product.
