I liked the easy-swallow soft-gel tablets, but my situation is a little unusual. My prescription Keppra leaves me sleepless for three-quarters of the night, while large-dose Melatonin left me groggy and disoriented. If anything, my trial would be an acid test of Power-to-Sleep PM.
With a full dosage of two pills, sleep was inconsistent. One night, I enjoyed a slight improvement in sleep; but most of the time, there'd be no change whatsoever. It seems that parts of the formulation were either unproven (hops extract, lemon balm, passionflower extract) or demonstrated to be ineffective in clinical trials (valerian). The small amount of melatonin didn't seem to be effective.
A friend also tried Power-to-Sleep PM on consecutive nights, with similar results. In any case, I could not rely on these pills to encourage restfulness, much less sleep. Disappointing.
