Product Reviews of Imak Products Adjustable Pil-O-Splint Nighttime Wrist Splint - Great for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome, Wrist Tendonitis # 10112Product Review: This splint actually increased the pain from my Carpel Tunnel Syndrome Summary: 1 Stars
I was very disappointed with the performance of this splint. It has severe design shortcomings. I have moderate Carpel Tunnel that is controlled by night-time braces/splints. This product looked appealing because it is soft and thus suitable for sleeping. After even just a few nights of use, it actully made my Carpel Tunnel much worse. I would wake up in the morning with considerable pain that lasted throughout the day. I had to go back to using my old splints and now wake up pain free. This is a terrible product that should be removed from the market. It is incomprehensibe that the company actually sells a product that worsens wrist problems.
Product Review: This works! My hand pain is gone by morning. Summary: 5 Stars
I heard about this splint from a motorcycle cop who had hand pain from gripping all daY. This splint opens up the hand in a comfortable position to allow the writ muscles to stretch out overnight.
My hand pain comes from years of overuse as a photographer and guitar player,.
My massage therapist pointed out that my left hand was curled up when in a relaxed position because the muscles were constricted. This splint corrected that in just one use.
It is comfortable and cool enough to wear in summer.
I hope it helps you too.
Product Review: Very Comfortable. Great Splint for Carpal Tunnel Relief. Summary: 5 Stars
I used to wake up during the night with numb, aching hands, even when I wore regular wrist splints. The Pil-O-Splint keeps the whole hand - including the fingers - in a neutral position. Since I've had this product, I haven't once been awakened by hand pain. My hands also feel much better in the morning, and I don't have to do painful stretches to relieve tightness. The Pil-O-Splint is very soft and comfortable, which is another huge difference from other splints. There's no harsh velcro, straps or metal to scratch you or your spouse during the night. I'm really glad I bought these splints.
Product Review: What a relief? Summary: 5 Stars
I am a computer programmer so I use my mouse all day and usually into the evening as well. I am right handed and my wrist began aching a year or so ago, sometimes more painful than others but it came time that it really started effect my work as well as my sleep. I would wake up in the morning and my wrist would still ache as well as it was popping a lot when I moved it left and right so I researched braces, read reviews and seemed like this is what I needed. From the first time I slept wearing this, I noticed a different, I was amazed to wake up the next morning with no pain. I now where this nightly and have not had an aching wrist once since wearing. I also ended up buying a Futoro Wrist Brace that allows me to move my fingers and thumbs while doing work.
Product Review: Wonderful for sleeping! Summary: 5 Stars
I have tried multiple other splints to relieve my carpal tunnel syndrome at night, but they all gave me problems (bruising, jabbing, too tight, too loose, or just plain uncomfortable). The Pil-O splint was the first one I found that was actually comfortable! Granted, it is much larger than the regular daytime splints I had been using, and that did take a little getting used to. However, I would recommend this product to anyone who keeps being awakened at night because of carpal tunnel syndrome. It was especially helpful after my surgery when there was no way that I was going to wear a regular splint to bed!!
