Product Review: Extremely comfortable for a splint

It's not easy to make a splint that is functional, yet comfortable. But here it is! It may have taken a night or two to get used to it, without it interrupting sleep, but it's VERY comfortable and easy to sleep with. And my wrist feels great in the morning. I have severe carpal tunnel as a result of genetics, and since I'm an avid knitter it is especially horrible. I have visible muscle degeneration and weakness in my hands as a result. I've tried at least half a dozen pairs of drug store braces and none have compared to the pil-o-splint. Yes, they are cumbersome, but they are very soft and easy to wear at night. You adjust it once (with help, it can be a pain to do alone) and then slide it on at night. With my old Futuro braces I woke up in pain in the middle of the night, but with these I don't have any pain whatsoever.
The only drawback I've found is that because my hand has been open all night, it is a little stiff in the morning. It fades within a few minutes, however. Also, I mistakenly whacked my husband in the head with my arm the first night, and while it startled him, he said he didn't expect it to feel so soft!
Anyway, it's a fabulous product. It's not stylish, but it is soft and very comfortable. I'm going to see a doctor about getting the release surgery done, but in the meantime this brace has kept my wrists pain-free at night.

This splint is comfortable to wear, and has improved my wrist pain. I work on a computer 8 hours a day, so I do still have some wrist discomfort, but this product has definitely improved it. It's not easy to get on by yourself, so you'll want some help. Although you don't have a lot of use of your hand after you put this on, it's intended for sleeping in, and you do have basic use. My finger tips come out of the end, and your thumb is free, but don't expect to do anything that requires full use of your hand. The material is soft and comfortable, and after washing it regularly (every 1-2 weeks) for a few months now it shows no damage or anything.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a new or alternative wrist splint.

I'm amazed at how twisted my hands and wrists can get while sleeping - and how much I can suffer for it later. With the soft, Pil-O-Splints they stay in a neutral position without reducing circulation. I like the adjustable feature. I have small wrists and can tighten these to fit a little snugger but, because of the softness, it is not uncomfortable.
