This product does help me with hand/finger extension while I sleep which is the main reason I purchased it. However, the position of the thumb (through a hole)actually caused some pain in my hand for a week. I guess it was an unnatural position for my hand, so I now must use it with my thumb inside pressed against my fingers. It is thus limiting for any type of daytime use, but alright to use at night.

This exceptionally comfortable Imak wrist support provides pain relief throughout the night leaving you rested and ready for a productive day. The patented Pil-O-Splint? is shaped for maximum healing benefits by gently immobilizing the wrist, hand, and fingers in a neutral position. Its unique design prevents you from holding your hand in a harmful position while sleeping. A single Velcro strap allows for easy adjustment. Soft and comfortable, breathable foam and cotton lining. Machine washable. Latex free. Universal design fits either left or right hand. One size fits all. Both models fit either hand. The Standard model slides on and off easily and fits forearms with a circumference up to 12" (30 cm). The Wraparound Adjsutable model has a Velcro strap that can be adjusted to accommodate forearms of all sizes. Splint lengths are measured from the wrist to the forearm.
