I bought this wrist support in a store for use at home. I had a bout of carpal tunnel pain a couple of years ago which resolved without surgery, and I don't want the pain to return. I've tried gel wrist rests for my mouse/trackball hand, which were better than nothing, but one of them seemed to irritate my wrist after I'd used it for awhile.
Form my experience with it at home, this wrist cushion is comfortable, I don't find it irritating, and it's fun to pick up and squish around, which is a good exercise for my hands. It's easy to position for maximum effectiveness.
But it is kind of large, and may position the wrist too high for comfort for some people. I learned this when I bought another of these to use at work. The small area provided for the mousepad on the 'ergonomic' keyboard/mouse tray at that desk was too small to accommodate this wrist cushion. The cushion kept falling off and the whole setup wasn't comfortable. I've ditched the keyboard/mouse tray and tried another setup where I can use cushion more comfortably.
Highly recommended, but I don't believe in "one size fits all" and I'm sure this is no exception. It's been good enough in my experience that I hope others will consider it for themselves.
