Product Review: A Silent Savior Summary: 5 StarsSeveral years ago, I babysat a young child who had yet to be potty trained. This child wore Huggie diapers, specifically picked out for her by her parents. It was my first time changing a diaper, and even though I had watched my own babysitter skillfully switch diapers on my younger sisters and been trained extensively in a two day long baby-sitting course, this was my first chance to do it on my own. I worried about all the things that could go wrong! Leaks, spillage - I didn't know what to expect. The idea of brown sticky poo all over the gorgeous white carpet of their living room chased away any good dreams I might have had and turned them to nightmares.
Once at the house, the parents changed the diaper right before they left! Yes, I thought to myself, maybe I will be lucky and not have to change a diaper before I put her to sleep. Unfortunately, after a couple hours and a bottle of milk, a nasty scent began to waft through the room. I tried to put off changing the diaper. The baby seemed comfortable and there wasn't leakage. However, the smell was too powerful and it was time to change the diaper. My heart sank as I carried the girl into the kitchen (tile floors, easier cleaning) and laid her down. I grabbed the necessary items, focused on my training from class, didn't forget the diaper rash lotion and did it! With no problems! Not one leak or spillage! The baby wore a new diaper and was clean and ready to get dirty again.
I will always recommend Huggies diapers. From this experience alone, they did not fail me in my moment of inexperience. Never buy name brand-only Huggies will do.

Product Review: AVOID Summary: 1 StarsThese diapers are extremely thin. I have ordered Huggies on line and have never received such thin diapers. The results have been extremely unfortunate for our 13 month old baby. We have to be certain to change her with greater frequency and she developed a nasty case of diaper rash due to our failure to do so. I usually buy Huggies based on the color of the packaging (as well as the recommended weight of the baby). I thought the "red packaged Huggies" were the highest quality. I probably missed the fine print somewhere.

Product Review: Pampers Please Summary: 1 StarsI've experienced big problems with Huggies. I have an 11 month old daughter and we recently received several boxes of Huggies as gifts. I didn't put it together at first when she got the rash, I thought maybe we just needed to change her more frequently, but I had my suspicions it might be the diaper. We switched back to Pampers and her rash went away (with the help of nighttime Desitin). We were about to give the Huggies away and the frugal part of me said... let's give them one more try. The diaper rash came back immediately. Our baby girl is very hearty and hasn't been allergic to anything yet, so I was surprised she had that reaction. We haven't had any trouble with Pampers or Kirkland. I hope this helps other parents who are battling diaper rash and might be using Huggies. I think every child is going to react differently, but I haven't read of too many parents having issues with Pampers at all...
