Product Review: not worth the $$

I purchased this thru a different retailer only because I wanted it faster then it was currently available at Amazon, however I wanted to include my opinion for those of you who are thinking about buying it. The concept behind relaxing w/ nature sounds is great, and that was the only reason I was interested in the product. I bought a down scaled model made by the same company first from CVS and the recorded nature sounds all had loud clicking sounds so I returned it. After some research and reading other's opinions I found this to be a common problem but hoped buying a more expensive 'higher' grade radio might solve the problem. It didn't. The included information for returns stated to contact Homedics, I did and was told they were experiencing a high volume of returns (this was shortly after Christmas) and to return it where I purchased it. Unfortunatly that was thru W.._M... and I could not find my receipt so I am out of luck. And yes, the dial is too bright, even when set on the low setting.Product Review: piece of @#$%

Iam now on my third one of these useless things.The first one never read outdoor temperature correctly.The second one did nothing right out of the box,and now the backlight display just quit on the third.As if that's not bad enough, I was just told that I am over my original warranty of 1 year,and that doesn't transfer to the replacement units.Good Riddance!
