Product Review: Drowns out even a train!

Ever since my daughter moved, she has not been able to sleep well because her apartment is close to the train tracks. Things were really getting difficult for her until the purchase of the Homedics SoundSpa. She tried it and fell in love with it. She said she's had the first decent sleep since moving. I have HoMedics SS-4000 and I am really satisfied with this product. So I decided to buy HoMedics SS-4500 for my wife. It is essentially the same product with modified design. Unfortunately new design improve only appearance. Small, flat buttons have bad visibility and it is difficult to find them at touch. The labels have very bad visibility as well. It takes time and effort to change any setting. You need light and glasses to turn alarm off at the morning. Screen is little bit too bright. Existing brightness adjustment doesn't have good range. Other then that, everything is working as advertised. New projector design is big improvement. Now you can rotate it.Product Review: Extremely short loop on the sounds

I just bought this Sound Spa clock and was so ready to enjoy it.
It's a real pain that I have to continue reach in the back for all the functions, such as backlight, setting the alarm...where as my old alarm clock had all the functions on top of the unit.
Also, the lowest setting for the backlight is still too bright. I've read that this is the major complaint. Also, someone suggested that you put a piece of tint on the display. I suggest, the manufacturers design it with a lower wattage LED.
BUT, my biggest peeve are the sounds. Especially, the ocean sound. It's on a 5 second loop. The repetitive sound patterns of the seagulls are annoying at best. I only got 3 hrs sleep last night because it's wasn't soothing me to sleep.
Would not recommend it!

Received the first one (was a gift) and it broke after a week (projector started to only show portions of the time) but buy with confidence from Amazon. I called them and they had my return label out within an hour and the replacement shipped to me next day. The device is nice, the projector is bright (very bright) and the sound of nature is better than in some of the other ones (we have a timex also).
