We bought this product when our son was about a month old. When he started sleeping in his crib at 4 months he was restless, and would wake constantly. We started using this on the rain sound, and he slept through the night. He slept with that noise for naps, and bedtime from 4 months until he was about a year and a half. He has never had any interest in the projector, but we bought it for the sound effects, the projector was just a bonus.
I would recommend this product to anyone with a baby. It would make a fantastic babyshower gift! 5 stars from this family!!!

The Homedics Sound Spa Lullaby is a must have for all Moms and babies, and requires no batteries!! Small enough to fit in the diaper bag, but large enough not to get lost on the dresser. The light projection provides a visual display while the the soft sounds of lullabies lull the baby to sleep(and maybe mommy and daddy too).
This is one item that should be found in every nursery.

Ironically, the very tool that we bought to put our baby to sleep is the thing that keeps waking him up! This white noise machine worked great for a short while, but the light stopped working at about 4 months. What's worse is that, recently, it started giving terribly loud feedback. Nothing is next to the machine to make it do this... it just does it periodically. Today, it scared my baby so much that he woke up panicked and screaming. He has forgone his afternoon nap, which is bad for both mommy and baby. I wouldn't recommend this to the worst enemy. Terrible product. Boo.Product Review: Fun while it lasts
