I can't speak for myself about the efficacy of this massager, because it was my husband with the back problem. But he said it really made him feel better. So it's good for the massage-ee. It's quite heavy, which is actually helpful for the massage-er because you just hold it in one place for a minute and let the thing do the work.Product Review: Like it

It does what it is... it is a massager. some people have complained about the weight and here I am thinking the head could be heavier. why? well using this thing on your self can be difficult and the ability to add pressure to the massager while you are doing parts of your neck and shoulders without using two hands can be difficult. Do be careful when this thing hits bone. it just bounces off and makes this horrid noise. its not painful just unsettling if you are not used to it. Being slim I tend to impact my shoulder blades when I am using both hands and trying to apply more pressure.Product Review: Powerful massager

I was visiting a friend that had one of these massager's, after using it, I came home and ordered it right away. This is what I call a man's machine. Much better than to vibrating hand held units.
