The Homedics P-5H percussion massager is an excellent product.
The weight and balance of the massager is perfect.
If the impact of the massager is too strong, one can use a jacket to soften it and if it is too soft it will not do any damage if one fell asleep.
The price was right, the shipping from Amazon was quick, in summary I am very sastified with this purchase.
The only regret I have is that I did get it sooner.

After buying and using this massager for a month, I can honestly report that it is a great product. In fact, in some ways, it's almost too good... at least for smaller people. It's heavy duty and feels like it should last a long time. I would even rate it as being commercial quality. But it massages so well that it sometimes almost hurts my wife... unless she first puts a heavy towel over her shoulders and back. Then she really enjoys her! I very much like using it as is... without any additional padding. We take turns giving each other neck and back massages at the end of long days. It unquestionaly helps in relaxing tense muscles and allows both of us to sleep better. It has also helped her to receive fewer, and less severe tension headaches... something she has suffered from for a while. Also, the dual heads create an invigorating sensation when running it up and down the sides of the spine... with one head on each side. The shoulder, neck, and back massages are similar in quality to the level I've received in chiropractors' offices. We would buy this massager again in a heartbeat.
Before buying it, I checked several places, including eBay, and got the best deal at Amazon... especially with the free shipping.

This is a very nice product. Its like having your personal masseuse with 2 strong hands. I was amazed at the firm percussion action and motor strength. This massager definitely means business.
you have 2 options. just the massage or the massage along with heat. The massager has variable speed which is controlled by a slide switch.
Bottom line is that this is a very nice massager. Highly recommended!!

I bought this at a local Walgreens and this is by far the best handheld massager I feel you can get. I have bought smaller massagers and they just don't cut it, particularly if your looking for relief from pain. Some people complain about the weight of the product, well it has to have a good amount of weight which means a more powerful motor so that it can deliver a good massage.Product Review: Best massager ever

You can even do your whole body massage by yourself by lying on one side in bed and allowing the weight of the massager to do most of the work. Then go to leaning on the massager as you guide it up your back to your neck. That done, change sides and complete the job, or let a friend help. It's really quite fantastic! When we finish the massage there is a rush of calm and comfort that is amazing. I've never found a better unit. One small caveat: if you press to abruptly on bare skin like around the back of the neck the skin can get pinched. Wear clothes or cover with a towel to preven this. Enjoy!
