I got this as a gift for my birthday, and I couldn't be happier. It does "park" down to the right, but I don't care, that's what the remote is for. I've had chronic back pain for my entire life, and when I want a massage, I want a deep tissue massage. Well let me tell you, this thing delivers. It might be too strong for people who just want a little back rub, but if you want something that is going to give you a real massage, and pain relief, this is the way to go. It gets very deep into the muscles, but if you're sore, you can change it to the rolling feature, which is lighter. I've read some reviews that complain about the noise, but it's not really that loud. Besides, I'd rather have something that makes noise and works than something that is silent and worthless! The joystick makes it extremely easy to get just the right spot every time. Additionally, someone mentioned also that it is not comfortable to sit on when you're not using it. I totally agree, but it's not meant to be a chair. I put it on the chair when I'm using it, and put it next to the chair when I'm not. It's a little heavy, but I can lift it fine, and like I said, I have a bad back!
