Product Reviews of Homedics FM-S Therapist Select Shiatsu Foot Massager with HeatProduct Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
It was bought as a christmas gift and the receiver and family LOVED the product!
Product Review: Bad Quality, Waste of Money Summary: 1 Stars
This is the first Amazon review I've ever written because it's the first product I've ever bought that was hugely disappointing. This foot massager works well and feels great, while it lasts. I used it (properly) at short intervals three times and it died--completely stopped working, no sign of life. I should have believed other reviewers when they wrote that they had the same problem. DON'T BUY THIS FOOT MASSAGER, instead invest in one that is more expensive and/or better reviewed. That's what I'll be doing now.
Product Review: Bad workmanship and bad engineering Summary: 1 Stars
My wife purchased this unit and it lasted less than two weeks. It was only used two or three time and it quit. Since we didn't have the receipt or box, we couldn't take it back. I thought I would look at what was wrong and took it apart. The motor which was held on by two small nuts was jammed into the gear housing and the nuts were loosend with my fingers. No need for the nuts, as the motor housing was forced into the gear box. I don't recommend this unit and you would expect more than a couple of uses for the price they ask. It may have been a bad unit, but I guess I'll never know!
Product Review: Could be better Summary: 3 Stars
This is a nicely priced foot massager that does the job just well enough not to return it. Those silver balls in the picture are only plastic painted balls, and the paint rubs off, discoloring your socks. After the paint rubs off, the seams in the plastic balls start to shred your socks, so pick one pair to use with the machine that you don't mind ruining. It would have been nice if they had incorporated a method to prop it up at a more natural angle for your feet to rest on it. As it is, your legs can tire from holding them up in position, and from constantly re-positioning them on the balls as they get pushed off in every direction. Although the motor sounds weak, as though it is straining, it seems to hold up, even with lengthy use. Overall, it gets the job done for a relatively low cost, and it is dependable and effective.
Product Review: Decent massager, but a little expensive for what you get. Summary: 3 Stars
It's got a nice kneading action, but doesn't really knead deeply. The warming effect is sort of limited. It's decent, but I'm not writing a letter home about the quality of this product for its price.
