Product Review: Delicious meal replacement
Summary: 4 Stars

They taste pretty good. I can't attest to the weight loss, but they taste far better than the other cookie diets.

Product Review: Great if you're on the go.

I thought I would give these a try because who can deny anything with "cookie" in its name. I was looking for something I could keep in my purse or stick in my daypack when I go hiking that doesn't taste horribly bad. I'm not the biggest fan of protein bars. While the Oatmeal Raisin is my favorite, the Lemon and Chocolate Chip are edible. They do however; do an excellent job in eliminating those nasty little hunger pangs that pop up when you're on go. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so I found myself having a cookie for breakfast with my tea or coffee. I always take cookies on my day hikes; it's a great way to get the energy boost I need, and finally just always keep one in my purse for when I'm out and about and get a little hungry. Rather than grabbing a bite at a fast food joint, I can eat a cookie to hold me over until I can make my meal. I've lost 12.5 pounds over the summer. I mostly attribute that to my workouts and hikes, but I'd like to think, me not starving myself or hitting up Taco Bell, and just having a cookie instead had a little something to do with it. I say give them a try.

I will agree that there are other choices, but this is a great way to drop some weight easily & inexpensively after you drift above your self-imposed weight ceiling. Friends told me the lemons weren't edible, but they weren't too bad. Certainly the chocolate & oatmeal raisin are better, but you don't buy these for the great taste...just be glad they taste good.

The reason I like this cookie is that it follows the fundamental weight loss theory: more small "meals" keep your metabolism humming. I add fruit & nuts to my daily diet when eating these cookies, and the weight falls off at a good clip. So let your upper limit weight, buy some of these, and use them when you drift up, or if you want to build in some margin.

As for cost, you are having them in lieu of breakfast or lunch, so this diet may actually save you money as well! I did buy several variety packs on Amazon, on sale, but at the normal $19.18 per box price, you may be better off buying directly from Hollywood Cookie. Good luck all.

Product Review: Not impressed.

I tried this "diet", exactly as directed. The cookies don't taste really good; some flavors are better than others: chocolate chip probably being the best, followed by oatmeal and then lemon. I would NOT recommend this product to others mostly because of the cost. The instructions tell you to eat one cookie for breakfast, one for mid-morning snack, one for lunch, and one for as an afternoon snack; followed by a sensible dinner. The chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies are 150 calories each, while the lemon is 140 calories; that means, by dinner time, you have consumed 600 calories, give or take 10 calories. There are soooooo many other choices out there -- make that cheaper choices -- one could eat before dinner and still stay within the 600 calorie total: Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal is only 160 calories; Slim-Fast has a couple of different options as does South Beach. Lastly, why not just eat a big salad with low-fat dressing and a can of tuna for lunch and forget the afternoon snack. Try a Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice Dinner and remember to drink plenty of water. This is quite simply, another gimmick diet. If you are one of those folks, with a rushed life, it might be fine for you to grab a cookie and run, but like I said: Check other choices (and save your buck$ for new clothes after you reach your goal weight) with more protein, etc. Special K has a 10 gram protein bar that I think is 180 calories -- the list goes on.
