I use this product everyday while laying down. I can reach all parts of my body one side at a time. Massager is a bit heavy, which is good for deep tissue work. Very stimulating and energizing. Instructions say to only use for 15 minutes at a time (because motor tends to overheat), but it ususally takes me 30 to 40 to do a complete massage, so I have to turn it off a couple of times to finish. That is a bit of a drag. Also have had problems with the cord with HoMedics products before. After a while cord tends to short circuit at the point where it enters the machine, causing the machine to go into a kind of on/off... on/off mode. After a while you just give up and go get a new one. The machine itself is robust and healthy except for this one design flaw.Product Review: Excellent

This massager works great. It is heavy, but that helps it work better. I lay on my stomach and let the weight of the massager work over my aching back and shoulder muscles. It is nice to have all the settings to choose from. I have tried other massagers and this is the best by far.Product Review: Excellent!

I have an older model of this massager, which appears to be the same except for color. I do agree that the heat function is not very usable, since it is very slow to heat up and not really effective; if you need heat, use a hot pack. But the massage function is absolutely great! The variable speeds are useful; my wife prefers the 3 (out of 5) setting, whereas I usually use 5. It does take a second person using the massager on you to do a really good job, but this should be true with any large-muscle massager since you should be relaxed during the massage. I pack this massager in our luggage--use it on car trips, in the motels; on a cruise ship; in other homes when visiting. We use it daily, on both of us; it can be as good as a chiropractor at times. And, by the way, the unit is completely durable. We have been using this same unit for five years now, and have seen no problems or deterioration of the cord as someone reported below. As with all electrical devices, a little care goes a long way. You'd think ours was new if you didn't inspect it very closely indeed.Product Review: GREAT
