Product Reviews of HoMedics Ortho Therapy Leg Spacer Support Pillow with Velour CoverProduct Review: Rather firm pillow Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my wife, who sleeps on her side and wanted a pillow smaller than a regular bed pillow to put between her legs. This one is fairly firm and would be great for between your knees, but she wants something for just above her knees and says it's too hard for that. So it's a matter of where you're going to use it.
Product Review: Simply put: Awesome! Summary: 5 Stars
Highly recommended for those with lower back discomfort. The memory foam is a bit firm, but softens during the night with your body heat.
Product Review: Skews the hips Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this pillow because I'm pregnant and have been having back trouble. The problem is that when you're sleeping on your side and it's between your knees, your knees are aligned, but your top foot is now dangling, which pulls the hips out of alignment, and makes you even more crooked when you wake up. It's not a problem with this model specifically, but for all pillows like this. I wish I hadn't used it so that I could return it.
Product Review: Sometimes Summary: 4 Stars
sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesnt. Doesnt make my lower back hurt any less, but does keep my knees from clunking and causing kneecap pain
Product Review: Takes a while to get used to sleeping with it. Summary: 4 Stars
I had no idea such a pillow existed. I have back problems (slipped discs) so I've been using a small, soft pillow between my knees. So when I stumbled upon this, I was excited.
But after sleeping with it for the past few weeks, here's what I found...
PROS: Works fine (when it stays where you want it) and helps alleviate lower back pain , great price, good size, comes with a zippered cover that can be taken off to be washed.
CONS: Although the shape would seem like it would be a "natural fit" it took a while to get used to sleeping with it. And if you're like me and toss and turn, sometimes you'll find the pillow shifted so your legs aren't in the "groove" anymore. So you're trying to figure out how it goes in the dark, in the middle of your sleep. Also not for back or stomach sleepers... just for side sleepers.
As for the "squish" factor, like my Tempurpedic mattress, I find that when it's warmer, this pillow squishes much more. So I think that'll mean the user's weight will play a big role in the squish factor.
If I had to do over again, I think I would order the travel-sized pillow. Although the product is just fine -- it hasn't been sleep-changing for me.
