Product Reviews of HoMedics BRF-1 Massaging Back Rest with Cup Holder and Integrated HeadrestProduct Review: Sometimes less is more, give or take Summary: 4 Stars
First, the cup holder is gratuitous and disappointing. I guess I understand where they where going with the feature incase it where for use where no surface exists for a drink, but its more uncomfortable than convenient. I just popped my stress koosh in there and now its fine. But maybe they could have forgone the cup holder for the next issue:
Second, apparently the engineers at Homedics are Leprechauns. I'm 5'10" (much to my own dismay, cursed genetics) and the headrest is more like a mid-shoulder brace. The very top of the headrest falls between my shoulder blades. It's disappointing, but I wrapped my travel neck pillow around the top and presto, I'm satisfied-it's better than a stack of tumbling pillows.
So, if you're 5'9" or shorter this is a great buy (I'm sure that would solve both the cup holder placement and neck rest height issue). No offense to you height challenged folks, but if you're an average height and stop gap measures like stress kooshes and neck pillows aren't you're cup of tea, then I suggest you try another product.
Product Review: The Backrest Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this backrest for my mom who lives in another state. I asked her if she uses it and whether or not she felt that it was working for her needs and she said she does use it and that she likes because of the massager and it is better for her back when she sits up in bed. It provides her with better back support than her old traditional backrest pillow due to the higher back and firmer support of the material
Product Review: Uncomfortable Summary: 1 Stars
This product is very uncomfortable. The back cushion is very hard and has a plastic lump for the "massage" feature that does a great job of hitting you in the spine. The arms are very tall and leave my arms in an uncomfortable position. The cupholder is also uncomfortable, due to being a large plastic object that takes up about half of the usable space on the left arm. The only upside is that the finish quality seems to be decent.
Great in theory but I found it very uncomfortable and will be returning it ASAP.
Product Review: Wonderful Back Rest! Summary: 5 Stars
My husband has a spinal cord injury and complications from a fall at work. He cannot lie down to sleep and has spent the last few months in a chair in the living room. This back rest has made it possible for him to return to our bed and that is a wonderful thing. It is soft, comfortable and convenient to use. I highly recommend it, even for those without physical problems.
Product Review: folding bed rest Summary: 5 Stars
This is an awesome product, very versatile, light weight, and easy to use. Perfect for that student or bed reader.
