With this system you place it behind your back in a comfortable chair and you move around so it will massage as hard or soft in the exact spot you want. This massager feels good on the back. But be careful about using for too long at one time. It bruised my back. I wish the balls were softer so as not to bruise.
Overall good product, just use it no more than 10-15 mins at a time.

Love it, love it. Can move pillow up and down back wherever you need it. I don't have to go get massages as much. Which I don't have time for anyway. Light a candle, put on relaxing music and lean back. Now this is deep tissue and some people might get sore, but that's the way I like it to work out the knots in my back.Product Review: Give away all the other massagers

I have many types of massagers, even 1 of the chair-liner models. I have a foot massager & hand held massager. All pretty heavy duty & I can now give them away. This is a truly excellent one especially for the price & it does it all. You can use it on the floor or in your chair. It is VERY sturdy, not one you have to worry about breaking. It is very versatile. My husband & I work out a lot and we're getting to an age that requires some deep tissue massage. We are 100% pleased with this product. I've never owned a massaging product like this before. I have had back surgeries for disk problems, and wanted to give it a try.
We also bought the Homedics foot massager for someone else in the family, and tried it first.. it was a disappointment, so I was already feeling like this cushion would be a waste too.
However, once I plugged it in and put it into position behind me, it was great! The low setting was painful, but in a good way. Afterward, I felt a LOT better. The motor worked great with pressure against it, and it is not very loud.
I can not take the pressure from the high setting, maybe in time. But on low, this is a great product.
