Product Review: Beware of possible cord fray

I like my massage pillow so much that I keep it next to my chair and use it frequently. Once a week, however-in preparation for my house cleaner-I wrap the cord around the pillow and put it away. The other day, after owning the pillow for seven months, I flipped the switch and heard a loud pop, which coincided with a break in the electrical circuit. Upon examination, I discovered that the cord (right where it protrudes from the pillow) was frayed and had caused the short circuit. I'm very lucky that I didn't accidentally touch the frayed cord when i turned the unit on! I wonder if the weekly wrapping was the cause of the problem (although I used to do the same with a HoMedics shiatsu massager and never had a problem.) HoMedics is replacing the unit-although I had to cover the return shipping cost-and claimed that this was the first frayed cord they had heard of. I will still use my new pillow, but you can be sure that I will examine the cord thoroughly on a regular basis!Product Review: Cushion hits the spot

This is one of the most satisfying purchases I have ever made. While nothing can take the place of a "live person massage" this product certainly does come closer than any other product I have ever used. My husband says he would have paid $100.00 for it, had he known I would stop asking him for a shoulder massage every 8 seconds. You do have to move around a bit to get to certain muscles, but once you find it, it is heavenly. My shoulder & arm have improved tremendously since I've been using it. It is easy to maneuver around as it is compact and I usually lay on it in bed of an evening. I often fall asleep on it! I highly recommend this to someone who wants something small, and relatively inexpensive by way of a massager.

I bought one for my wife who frequently has very tight neck and shoulder muscles. She loves it and lays on it daily to soothe her neck and shoulders.
To use if for your back, you need to do it in a chair as laying on top of it on the bed is far too uncomfortable and impractical.
A heating option and the ability to raise/lower the height of the massaging "fingers" would make this perfect, but then it would probably cost a lot more also. This is a great unit for the price.

What an excellent product. It is bigger than expected which is great because it makes it VERY sturdy. The massagers are strong and are so great. As I used it the first time I decided that I had to write a review about this.
I totally recommend this product to anyone who needs comfort.
