this product is simple and effective. it serves its function well. previously, i was gently breathing salty water in one nostril at a time and letting it drain into my throat. this is so much easier and does a better job cleaning since it flows up into and out of the other side of the nose. a must have for allergy sufferers and for protection during cold/flu season.

I was pretty weirded out by the idea of a neti pot before I tried this, but I figured I'd give it a shot to see if it helped with allergies. It definitely does, and I'm glad I tried it out.

Neti pots in general - not just this one - clean your sinuses in a simple way. It can be hard to get used to, but what will help make the process more comfortable is to (1) make sure the water is slightly lukewarm and (2) add a little bit of fine salt, thoroughly stirred so it dissolves before you begin. There are some helpful videos on YouTube showing how it's done.

The value of this Neti pot is just that it's simple, inexpensive, attractive, and comfortable to hold and use. The spout is wide enough that you can get a good seal even if you have large nostrils.

Product Review: Takes some practice to get it right, but worth the wait

I prefer natural remedies over conventional ones whenever possible and you can't get more natural than water and salt.
Whenever I get a stuffy nose, I use the netti pot several times each day to clear things out. A word of warning to those considering using a netti pot, though, it takes some practice to get it right. At the beginning, there were a few times where the salt water went down my throat instead of out of my other nostril and other times where I poured too much, too quickly and it burned my nose. Once you get it right, though, it's worth it. The netti pot will always be my go-to weapon to combat a stuffy nose.

Product Review: The best thing I ever bought!

I suffer from severe sinusitis and allergies. I had continual bouts of sinus headaches, congestion, nausea, and extreme fatigue. All due to lovely sinusitis. I would get the headaches so badly sometimes, they would wake me up in the middle of the night. And forget if it was windy outside! I was pretty much confined to my house. If I did venture outside I paid for it and had sinus/allergy symptoms for days after. I have been on numerous doses of antibiotics, which only helped for a while and then the symptoms would come back. I can't take sinus meds because of the jitters, and I basically lived on Tylenol to help relieve my head pain. SO after another intense sinusitis episode where my dentist couldn't even touch my teeth due to the sensitivity, he suggested a Netipot. At first I shrugged it off, but after trying everything, I bought one. And i'm SO glad I did! What a relief! My sinus headaches have pretty much been nil. And when I do feel symptoms coming on, I use my Neti-pot and I feel instant relief. It takes some getting used to, but it's easy after that. I wouldn't and couldn't live without it. And the best part is NO MORE antibiotics or Tylenol. It's great to be able to breathe again!!
