So I've always had nasal breathing problems and pretty much anytime I bring it up with a doctor, I'm always given some kind of nasal steroid and sent on my way. I happened across the concept of the neti pot by accident over the internet and was very hesitent but still decided it was worth a try.
When it came in the mail, I was excited but at the same time the idea of pouring water through my nose was strange and kinda gross for me but I worked up the courage to give it a shot. Thank god I did. It's amazing how much this has helped me out. I have been sleeping better and in general my ability to breath through my nose has improved dramatically. I just use it once a night before bed and that seems to be enough. I found out though that if you have a fully blocked nose (or just one nostril in my case) that has resulted from something like a cold, I would avoid using it. The water seemed to be redirected to my ear and I had water in the ear for a day or so. Pretty annoying.
Not much else to say about it. The fact that its plastic is great because I'm sure I'll drop it once and smash it. All in all, if you've had nasal breathing problems for quite some time, give it a go. I don't know if it'll work for you the same as me but hey, its worth a try.
