I have seasonal allergies that seem to peak in the fall due to large amount of ragweed pollen in the air. I bought this neti pot to provide some temporary relief during this period since allergy medications don't see to be able to keep up with amount of pollen in the air during this period where I live.
I'm pleased to say it works very well. Before I started using the neti pot, I used to wake up several times at night sneezing and needing to blow my nose. After I started using the neti pot at nights before going to bed, that has thankfully become a rarity. I also use it in the morning during my shower. It definitely is not going to replace allergy medication for me but it is a great complement to them.
I bought the nonbreakable plastic version. It's pretty light and thin plastic, however, I think it'll stand up okay to daily use.
For the solution, I mixed up about 3 parts kosher salt to 1 part baking soda and put about 1/2 ts. in the pot with warm water.
