I bought this as a low-cost alternative to one of the expensive multiblade razors being sold by the major razor bland manufacturers. Trac-II is an old design, but generic replacement blades are widely available and they're a lot more economical than the newest multi-blade cartridges.
This is a hefty razor made of real honest-to-goodness metal, so it should last a good long time. My only complaint is that the handle can get slippery during use, since there's no rubber or plastic grip). It's well built and nicely weighted. I would have given it five stars if not for the grip issue.
